EMBER ("EMBER," "we," "us," or "our") provides this Children's Privacy Policy to supplement our Privacy Policy. It explains our practices regarding children in connection with the EMBER mobile application (the "App"). Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This Children's Privacy Policy applies to the App. It is intended to be read together with our Privacy Policy. To the extent this Policy conflicts with our Privacy Policy with respect to children's information, this Policy governs.
2. Age Restriction — 18+
The App is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older, and is not directed to children of any age. Users under 18 are not permitted to create an account or use the App.
Before accessing the App, all users are asked to confirm their age or date of birth. Users who indicate that they are under 18 are not permitted to proceed. We may take additional steps to verify a user's age from time to time.
3. Information We Do Not Knowingly Collect from Children
We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and other applicable laws. Because the App is restricted to users 18 and older, we do not target, market to, or knowingly provide services to children.
If you are under 13, do not use the App, do not create an account, and do not submit any personal information through the App.
4. If We Learn a Child Has Provided Information
If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our records as promptly as reasonably practicable.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at emberandfeedback@emberwit.com so that we can review and delete the information.
5. Advertising and Marketing Directed at Children
We do not knowingly serve advertising or marketing content directed to children under 13. To the extent the App displays advertising, such advertising is intended for adult users of the App.
6. Parental and Guardian Rights
Parents and legal guardians may contact us at emberandfeedback@emberwit.com to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information relating to their child;
- request review of any such information;
- request correction of any such information; or
- request deletion of any such information.
We may need to verify your identity and your relationship to the child before processing these requests. We will respond to requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Children's Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy within the App or through other reasonable means. The updated Policy will indicate the date it was last revised.
